We start a partnership with FC Revera

Football Development Institute is based on the substantive concepts of Marcin Gabor, developed over many years and still being expanded. This collection includes a wide range of concepts for the development of Clubs.

The concepts discussed have been applied in numerous projects, but the big acceleration of recognition in Europe came after last year’s Football Club Management Conference. We have hosted many delegates from European Clubs at the conference, and almost 500 more representatives have access to our online platform with lecture recordings. Since then, we have also received quite a few enquiries from Clubs about development projects, and in several Clubs we have implemented our substantive solutions, advised and carried out educational measures. Today, however, we would like to announce a unique project.

Following very good and concrete discussions with the management board, we have concluded a partnership with FC Revera 1908. We are talking about a professional Ukrainian Club with the ambition of extensive development, reaching an appearance on the European football market.

“Revera 1908 is a young Ukrainian Club that is starting its professional history. The Club has a vision to become interesting and understandable for the European football community. That is why we were looking for a competent partner in Europe, experienced in the development and building of a professional Club, adapting it to high European standards. Marсin Gabor is exactly the right person who has all the capabilities and competencies to help us, that is why we started working with the FDI as a development partner.

We planned to jointly develop FC Revera as a conceptual Club with its own identity. All this will be based on the knowledge base and model of professional Club development designed by Marcin Gabor and FDI. We believe in our fruitful and long-term cooperation.

Now a lot of work is devoted to preparatory issues, familiarization with the methodology of our cooperation, approaches and requirements from our partners. The result was the establishment of a multi-year roadmap. The first modules we started working on were the digitalization of our activities (selection of the necessary IT environment and software solutions) and the model for the development of external communications. We immediately felt the professional and systematic approach of our FDI colleagues and received thorough and detailed materials. We are preparing our staff for a long process of changes towards the professionalization of FC Revera1908.”

“We have now officially announced the partnership between Football Development Institute and FC Revera 1908, but our relationship already has a history. During the weeks of discussions establishing the principles of cooperation, I was able to see that the representatives of FC Revera have many positive qualities. They are concrete, reliable and also determined to realise their vision. The high level of complexity of the FDI concepts, the need to structure the cooperation precisely and the long perspective of the process make the discussions with FDI not easy. At the same time, at all times I felt respect, a positive perception of our ideas and an awareness of the need for long-term action. All of these qualities, as well as an understanding of the concepts I was presenting, persuaded me to start working together with comprehensive support from the FDI. Since then, several months of hard work have passed, with long days of consultations and many hours of in-depth discussions behind us. And I have been steadily reinforced in my conviction that the decision to embark on the partnership was a very good one. Since the beginning of the formal collaboration, FDI has already carried out dozens of different activities that make up the overall project. As part of the preparatory procedure, I created the “Individual Development Plan of FC Revera”, comprising a precisely constructed multi-year scenario to guide the professionalisation, development and, ultimately, the complete transformation of the Club. The process of complete transformation, generating the status of “Concept Club”, is based on three pillars: ‘Club Development Model of FDI’, “Sports Development Model of FDI” and “Academy Development Model of FDI”. Each of these pillars additionally contains integral substantive concepts. In the course of the development process, we will introduce FC Revera and present the transformation plan with the structure of the Club development cycle, the foundations and substantive concepts, the conceptual content, the strategic aspects, the ongoing projects and report on the transformation steps that have been implemented.

The ambition of the people responsible for FC Revera is all the more admirable given the current situation in Ukraine. Despite the difficult conditions, nobody intends to break down, but everyone believes in a good future. At this point, I want to mention the two people I have worked with most closely so far. Oleksandr Buben, Owner and President of FC Revera, is an incredibly dedicated man, humble, fact-based and the driving force behind the whole undertaking. The second person is Iurii Kasiianchuk, in charge of FDI contacts and foreign projects at the Club. Identifying with the Club, desiring its development and strongly supporting our daily activities. Cooperation with both representatives of FC Revera is based on professional standards and is a great pleasure for me.”
